Food Processors Reviews, A Kitchen Gadget

A food processor is a mechanical or electrical kitchen appliance for kneading, stirring, grating, pureeing or juicing. Modern devices consist of a basic unit with a mixing or collecting bowl and various attachments, such as shredder, mixing attachment, grain mill or juicer and various inserts (cutting and rasping disc, dough hook, whisk, and beater).

The term food processor was formerly used for other kitchen appliances. Originally he referred to wood or coal-fired cooking stoves ( cooking stoves). These large, heavy forerunners of the cookers, made in iron foundries, emerged from the mid to late 19th century.

A Cooking Helping Machines

They were initially referred to as “cooking machines”. The further development of these “machines” led to the use of (lighter) sheets and enamel plates and production in her factories. At the same time, the terms changed.

The processing tools can be disc, drum or cone-shaped. Some devices allow the attachment of individual kneading hooks or whisk. Stirring or collecting bowls are integrated into the device or can be removed; sometimes own tools are permanently installed.

Some accessories are complete units (meat grinder, juicer) that only use the drive of the machine. The speed can usually be set in several stages or continuously. A cooking function can also be integrated.

In order to reach all areas of the stirred tank equally, high-quality kitchen machines have mechanisms that move the stirring tool eccentrically, such as a so-called planetary mixer.

In contrast to hand mixers (hand mixers) and blenders, food processors are usually designed for stationary use. Some hand mixers, however, can be supplemented with a table stand and a mixing bowl (accessories) to a stand-alone unit, so that they can replace a food processor in smaller households together with a blender and corresponding accessories.

The stability of the machines at work can be improved by clamping or suction devices, heavier devices achieve sufficient stability alone by their own weight.

A Modern Kitchen Tool

With the development of modern kitchen appliances or the Food Processors Reviews, which were now increasingly powered by electricity, the use of the term for cookers became obsolete. Kitchen appliances were now all kitchen appliances referred to, whose mechanics corresponded approximately to a machine.

Devices with multiple functions, also the forerunners of today’s kitchen machines, were called “universal kitchen machines”. The current term, however, is severely limited and refers to only one particular type of kitchen appliance.
